A content management system (CMS) is a tool used to update the content within your own website. These systems are generally used for estate agents or recruitment companies who make daily updates to the content of their website i.e. the posting of new jobs. It would not make financial sense for such a company to have to contact their web master every time they need an update, so a system is designed and created to allow a client to add or remove data, assign roles and responsibilities among other tasks.
